Cholera hit the Grand’Anse on Friday. There has been one death and eight hospitalized as of yesterday, and several NGOs are setting up tents for an outdoor cholera treatment center. I went to the hospital Friday afternoon. It was empty! Apparently when the cholera patients showed up the rest of the “sick” patients scrammed. Time to buckle up… I’ll update as I learn more.
